Langmead left waiting for result

Shrewsbury Town are awaiting news on the scan on Kelvin Langmead's mystery knee injury.

Langmead, who has missed the final part of the season, has been out of action for a month after the injury flared up against Notts County on 24 March.

The Shrews defender told BBC Radio Shropshire: "My concern is trying to get fit for the pre-season in case it flares up again.

"It's my body telling me I need a rest. Being injured is horrible."

Manager Paul Simpson, who has become concerned at how slowly Langmead's knee has been to clear up, has said he won't risk the player again this season.
